This fall blooming, native perennial produces, large numbers of small, attractive blue flowers, each with a contrasting yellow eye. Plants spread slowly by rhizomes and self-seeding. Asters are highly attractive to butterflies and an important food source for all pollinators. Thrives in average to dry, well-drained soil in full sun. Suitable for thin rocky soils and drought. Attracts pollinators.
