Pycnanthemum tenuifolium - Narrow-Leaf Mountain Mint

Despite being commonly called mountain mint, Pycnanthemum is not a true mint. It thrives in dry, rocky soils and can also be found growing near streams and wet thickets. Its leaves are aromatic, very thin and needle-like in appearance, and its habit is erect and well-branched. It produces masses of white flowers in mid- to late summer that attracts pollinators.
