Fancy Finch Bugleweed's attractive small glossy narrow leaves emerge brick red in spring, turning lime green in colour with showy gold variegation and tinges of coppery-bronze the rest of the year on a plant with a spreading habit of growth. It features subtle spikes of blue flowers with violet overtones rising above the foliage from late spring to early summer, which emerge from distinctive silver flower buds.
